Graduate Degree (M.A.) in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning

The IURS offers, jointly with the Department of Geography, a two-year graduate program that provides a comprehensive curriculum in urban planning: theory, practice and methods. The program includes the core studies of urban and regional planning (planning theory, planning procedures, planning law), applied studies (real estate, planning programs and land policy, urban design, studios, urban clinic, transportation planning, social planning), and a wide array of urban inter-disciplinary courses. Geography studies include theoretical corpus of urban geography and other relevant domains, along with methodological studies (geoinformatics, statistics, research methods). The degree qualifies its graduates to work in urban and regional planning, other realms of urban policy, and research careers in urban and regional studies.
